what would you pay for a rebuilt 3.3 and boost gauge?
Hey guys what would you pay for a fully rebuilt 79 3.3 motor? Im talking about 3.3 pistons and cylinders, 3.2 twin plugged heads, arp bolts, gt evo cams, and all new seals? I also wanted to know what a NHS(?) boost gauge was worth? It goes up to 2 bar. thanks

North Hollywood Speedo ?

possibly, the car came from california.
|
Depends on who built it.
|
MM. Then I'd give ya a nickle.
But they might not use ARP. Home Depot is more like it...... |

thanks craig, black forest racing in pineville, nc is going to be doing the engine. they have been building engines for quite awhile now and even built a 3.2 for me a few years back. I was asking because I'm going to be selling mine soon and wanted to know what I should sell it for, I didnt want to ask too much or too little. The engine is going to also come with carrera intake manifold. thanks guys

What is the condition of the engine right now - as it sits?
|
The last price I heard for a used 930 engine was $7500. Maybe $10-$15K for a fresh rebuild from a reputable shop.
|
its apart right now, waiting on news rods to come in and the engine will be put back together.

If I were buying an engine, which I'd like to do, I personally would rather have all of the pieces so that I can inspect them, and then assemble myself. But that's just me.
How much would you sell the "kit" of engine parts for? |
hey brian, I never thought about that. I didnt think I could get much for it as it sits. Heres everything I have that would be going on the engine:
3.3 crank 3.3 case 3.3 pistons and cylinders (used in spec) GT evo cams apr bolts new rods 3.2 carrera heads w/ titanium valve springs and new guides (twin pluggged) carrera intake manifold new chain tensioners not sure what I would take for it, if interested shoot me over a pm or give me a call at 980-322-3362 and see what we can do. thanks |
I'll call you later.
|
I bought a boost gage from NHS for $169 plus about $60 for the hose and fitting kit.
