I think this is a deal
Went to my local Porsche dealer he has a 1979 930 in the show room it is in great shape with a load of huge engine mods including ball bearing turbo. There looking in the mid 20's car is gun metal grey. What do you think ?

Sounds like a good deal, but like everyone here would say, get a PPI done to ensure everything is in check. Buying a car that has been heaviliy modded has some risks, but if it turns out to be a good car, you're saving a bucket load of $$$ in mods

Yes, I would tell them to do a leakdown test while I watched. Tell them to throw in a compression test as well. If it checks out fine, then give her some more thought.

Sounds like a fun car, but even with 40k on it, I cant stress the leakdown and compression enough. Who knows what kind of looney tune driving that car has endured with all those mods. Does she have EFI?
