Engine hose question

This hose seems to making my life difficult. Is this the correct hose or can I use some braided "engine breather" style hose?
The thickness of this hose makes it hard for the fat metal pipe that goes from the turbo to the intercooler to fit where it should.
thanks guys,
-Chris

some clarification.. this is the hose that goes from the breather hole of the turbo oil accumulator tank.. ( chris is working on my car)

The braided hose should be fine. It was stock on my 86 930.

My question is do we even need it ?? I understand that aftermarket oil sumps don't even have one.

Chris,

I would thing any high temp oil resitant hose would be fine.

That hose was deleted from my engine when I installed my B&B Headers and new oil tank, there is no vent tube on the new set up.

I would say no I don't have a breather hose My oil tank is sealed on the turbo. I have the B&B Header kit. I do have a braided hose for the oil line running the turbo.

Thanks guys.
What do you think about having a hose from the oil tank to the airbox?
I put one on but it was running fine before (withouth one) so... I wonder about oil fumes getting sucked in the intake and lowering the detonation point.
