Questions Regarding B6 IC Install
First of all, thanks to Mark 87 930, aka Mark Thoun, who drove an hour to my house yesterday to help me with the K27 install, and the IC install.....a very nice gesture, and much appreciated help !!!!
OK, if you look at the photos below, the first one shows vacuum lines that were attached to the old BOV housing via a banjo fitting.........what do I do with these lines with regards to the new IC? The second photo shows 2 hoses that were origionally attached to the factory IC on the right side. The lower hose attaches to the B6, what is the top hose for? What have you done to attach it? The third photo shows the B6 with the overboost sensor attached, the boost guage sensor attached. There is a brass fitting still left to attach, but it will not fit in the hole that is remaining. Mark sent me a note with a schematic showing that the overboost sensor in fact, can be split into 2 parts, and the actual sensor shoud fit into the small hole remaining, leaving the larger hole for the fitting which connects to the wastegate. So, any advice.......much appreciated The last 3 photos are just porn.......and pardon the red fan.....I will be changing in to black eventually !!!!!! ![]()

For the $1500-1800 you paid for the IC from B6 dont they provide an install guide with all the various connections required...if not you just saved me from my purchase of the product until they do... thanks...

In all fairness, my car doesn't have that extra valve.
However, I have noticed that my stock IC has the opening for that valve.

Guys, I'm pretty sure that extra opening is for the air pump. Not sure if anyone can confirm. The same applies for that bajo bolt fitting in the first picture
(that one I'm sure of as it comes from the pump). Mark, you're more than welcome, I had fun. Looking forward to finishing that up and going out. If the weather holds up, it'll be soon!

OK, Mark, you were right about....
the brass fitting. It goes where I had the overboost sensor. The overboost sensor does in fact come apart, and is installed inside a sleeve in the Porsche BOV assembly. Once removed from the sleeve, it fits nicely into the small hole in the B6 IC......got that fixed up last night.
So, Questions 1 and 2, from photos 1 and 2 remain. Michael from B6 has been very helpful, but they have not seen a car with this particular plumbing on it either.......

I would remove that electric valve and just cap it off. Alternatively replace the hose with this part no. 930 110 335 00. Your part ends 01. They done this for '83 on.
Alternatively send them their IC back. They should have helped you out with this, not me.

Hey Nathan.....you in a bad mood???
I have the IC figured out, and all of the other stuff is smog stuff......I just never figured my car for a smog car as it's a ROW car, but it was manufactured for a guy in California.....thus the air pump, etc......I am getting educated quickly here.....and I can remove all of that stuff.
Now that we had trial fit the K27, I removed it (nice easy 5 minute job with new hardware), and have spent 2 hours trying to get the billet adapter onto the K27......and well, lets just say, I am taking the rest of the night off......not happening tonight. Thanks all......Nathan, if I were closer I would offer to buy you a pint......but you will have to have one on me.....

My Porsche shop manual shows air injection on the Euro 930 engines.
It appears that they have some smog equipment, just not to the extent of the non-California US models. The B6 intercoolers look to have all the fittings available to accommodate the various 930 engine configurations. A buddy of mine did some real-world initial market testing for all the B6 intercoolers some months ago so I got an early education on them.

Nape, I might have been a little tired last night when I posted as it was quite late...
I had a drop of Whiskey earlier tonight, so thanks for that ! You may need to file down the outside of the K27 a little all the way round to get that adapter to go over the outlet of it. Lube the o-ring. Better than it being sloppy
