fuel pump flow rates
I have a question for the experts. I appreciate any help rendered but on this one I'm looking for facts and not opinions. Here's the scenario:
76 930, euro model. front fuel pump is shot. Pet program says 76 pump is different from 77 and the euro is different again. I understand that the inlets and outlets changed somewhere in the series. It should be no problem to change the fuel hose connections to a 77 pump if it will work. What I need to know is the flow rates for each pump. Again, I need facts on this one. Reason for asking is current price for 76 pump is over $800 if still available and 77 pump is cheaper. If anyone has a line on either pump please let me know thanks to all lewis

You can by a aftermarket single pump that out performs factory twin set up. One pump is $ 300.00 and mounts up front and by-pass rear pump. www.sx-performance.com. The pump is huge compared to the factory bosch but it fits.

there is conflicting data in that chart and nothing mentioned about euro cars. 2 pumps are bettter than 1 pump. At least 1will get you out of the road

I have the same problem. The factory 580 224 990 is expensive. There has to be a cheaper route for 76 turbos. I'm still searching.
