early 930 with carrera intake
I need some serious technical help. I have an early 930 3-l, no
fuel system just the case ,cylinders and heads that I plan to rebuild.I have a complete intake fuel setup from an 84 3.2 carrera. I'm told the carrera intake system will fit. I'm also told that a tubo will work on the carrera intake setup. Anyone have any experience with this. 76 911S 81 911 SC 66 912 V8 70 914 PROJECT CAR |

You'll need to open the head's intake ports to 41mm to match the Carrera.
You also need to make modifications to the intercooler to mate up with the Carrera throttle body (or air flow meter if you're using the Carrera ECU) or build a new intercooler. For fuel injection, you'll either have to remap the DME to the engine or go with an aftermarket ECU.

What David said.
I am running a Carrera intake with port matched heads and an aftermarket ECU on my 75 930 motor. I built my own intercooler to fit.
