MSD 6AL or 7AL for a 965?
Has anyone replaced the EZ69 ignition control unit with an MSD 6AL or 7AL ignition modules?
What does it take to make it work? GB Last edited by Porscha-Racer; 04-28-2007 at 09:04 AM.. |

What kind of management system are you running? 7al is a race only ignition just for the record

Yes, that's why I'm more interested on the 7AL.
My race-car is still running CIS so all the timing/mapping management is done by the EZ69. GB |

550HP as of last round of mods...
We think we can take it to 600 - 625HP with this new round of tweaks that will be implemented this coming week. The Dyno runs will confirm this new heights... GB |

I am assuming that is flywheel. Either way msd 6al or digital 6 is the way to go.

YES, flywheel.
The problem is that I've been told that you cannot use the MSD because of the type of ignition the 965 uses. The EZ69 has all the mapping information stored in it... If anyone has done this upgrade please let me know what I need to do to make it work. GB |
