Silicone Hoses
Hey guys..
Replacing some hoses on my car.. couplers to turbo , turbo to IC, misc vaccum lines.. Any preferred silcone over another? Samco vs. TurboHose? Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, Sport Hose and Samco are the same. I bought all my stuff at www.sporthoses.com and it seems to be good stuff. The original blue hoses are a little thicker walled than the colored ones.

You are correct.. I meant Turbo Hose..
Did you go with the blues stuff and is it straight silicone? I know some other hoses are fiberglass reinforced silicone. Thanks

The hose I got have some sort of reinforcement. I tried to use black for everything but a few pieces were out of stock, so I got blue. Then I realized the difference in wall thickness.

Any 4 or 5 ply will do... they handle a LOT of pressure. Much much more than you intend to run, so don't stress too much about which is better.

That's cool..
Figured 4 or 5 ply would do the job pressure wise... just wnated to make sure I had something that would withstand the heat over several thousand miles better that the standard factory style stuff..

Porsche makes a nasty one for the 91-94 turbo out of silicon and it runs from turbo to intercooler. If the turbo and inter cooler that you are running are oem style, I defenatly recomend the stock porsche unit. They are expensive, but so easy to make use and they dont blow off
