A question for Craig 930.....
You are one of the few people I've seen who have made the transition from a 3.6 conversion to a Turbo. I have recently made that same transition.
The Turbo is a very exciting car to drive but at the track I miss the torquey cornering ability of my 3.6..... Have the mods you've incorporated successfully increased your low end torque......???? |
Sorry, I didn't see this post until now -
I do miss the immediate response and ability to correct in mid-corner...but Torque? Are yew kiddin me? Above 3,000 I have so much torque that wheelspin even with Kumho V710 track tires is an issue. Something like 240 lb ft vs 413 at the wheels ;) Hey, let's work on your car so you don't think that you are missing anything - seriously! |

Well....there's my first clue....you are picking up torque much quicker whereas I feel 'stuck' going into a turn after scrubbing off speed, compared to the 3.6...... Hey, let's work on your car so you don't think that you are missing anything - seriously! You're on! The Turbo is a vastly superior car all around. Like riding on rails compared to the SC.... |
So tell us about your 1986 930 - the turbo, P&Cs, exhaust/headers, etc -
|
Well...it's pretty much a clean canvas....:D
