Diy Turbo Help
I've built a turbo system for my 2.7 and running 5lbs of boost. I pulled off the cdi box. I'm using a msd blaster coil with points. My problem is the car pulls great up to 5000 rpms and then cuts out. There is no detonation and my air/fuel meter is reading a little on the rich side. My question is do i need a msd box for a more powerful spark. or can a change the gap and dwell to get it to pull to 6500rpms. Or is the problem somthing else. Thanks for any help.

5lbs isn't that much boost to blow out the spark, but you might want to try reducing the gap on your plugs and seeing if that makes any difference. If it's not fuel, then it'd be ignition. What type of plugs and gaps are you running?
An aftermarket CDI box will give you a hotter spark and allow you to run slightly larger gaps for better burn and power.
