low idle......
 

Hi All,

Just looking to confirm a hypothesis......83 Turbo......stock everything. The secondary hose from the smog stuff was leaking I suspect. Idle was a little high, at 1100+rpm when warm.
I just installed the new BB intercooler, and plugged that pesky hose. Fired up the car, and it's idling very low (300rpm).

So my question is.....if I had a leak and plugged it, would the idle drop, or have I created a leak to cause the idle to drop?

I think I got it....
 

checked the hoses, o rings, rechecked everything.....idle still low. Sealed it all up and adjusted the idle a little to 950, and it is purring....have to take it out in the am and get it up to proper operating temperature though, to be sure, at 1am, the RarlyL8 muffler wouldn't likely win me any points....:p
