El cheapo boost gauge
Probably a Greddy knockoff, using a sending unit vs. vacuum hose connection. $35 including shipping, can't go wrong with that price (unless it doesn't work). Made in China, of course.

Yes you can go wrong, it's made in China. This country is loosing more jobs by the day, we need to bring a living wage back by supporting just about anyone but China.

Wonder how accurate they are. And if its a direct fit in the clock hole. Plenty of you tube video's on them. Apparently they have a memory so you can watch a run, also adjust the alarm limit.

I just went through an injector size change and thought I'd try some of the chinese ebay replicas of bosch injecotors. What a flipping waste of time. Could not get my car to idle, had to program strange values into the efi system. Finally bench tested them. One leaked, others had poor spray (or should I say pee) patterns. Bought another round of the real Bosch ones and my car runs fine again, no issues at all.

'Made in China' is a multi-faceted problem, just as union workers back in the 70's/80's of the Big 3 complained they were not allowed to build great cars(when in fact the engineering/R&D was so poor, regardless of how well it was build, it still was a POS).
The company I work for has oversea's offices all around the world...the PRIMARY reason(not for a perceived cost savings) is in America, we have so many 'educated' people, but a real lack of serious brain-power in the US. Virtually NOBODY that is white goes into the real hard sciences anymore. I am one of a few token white-guys in an engineering firm which is primarily asian/indian/philipino. The generation that followed the space programs(grunge/Gen Y) became more fixated on the love of $$$$(and to those who love money, they will NEVER have enough). Now all the brain-power that would have been dictating 'Tomorrow Land'(aka a real vision of the future) are white-collar corporate criminals running our banks/morgage companies/corporations, and making 'deals' to sell out the American worker and make stuff over in China(so they can increase their already staggering profit margins) It's a new day in America, and the "culture of corruption" is like a massive oil spill covering our nation at every level. And the biggest excuse you'll ever hear one say to themselves is burying their heads in the sands, turning a blind eye, and saying "I was just doing my job". "to sin in silence is what makes cowards of men".

I hear you but not all is lost. China will be coming to a crossroads soon. Today they are making many products that are literally copies of our products. They don't have the infrastructure we do and they have no use for some of the products they are making and shipping to the USA. They have no background in these areas and with no "head" on the "tail" it is a temporary endeavor at best. This coupled with the loss they are taking on many products just to break into the market is not a sustainable process, see Japan today.
The next ten years will prove China to be the superpower that once was the USA or a country trying to play catch-up and never really beating us at all. Their corruption is just as bad as ours, that will be the lynch pin of success or failure for them.

VDO Cockpit gauges match the factory instruments very closely - and have a range of boost gauges from $30, so the same money. Plus or minus a small latte.
![]() They seem to have dropped the one I prefer (30in/hg - 15 PSI), but they do several others - including 30 in/hg - 20 PSI, which is probably better if running 1.0 or 1.2 bar boost anyway Yeh, they don't fit the clock hole, need an adapter.
