Question New tire fitmet / size

Time for new tires on my 1978 stock 930. Stock 16" fuch rims. Tires now in place 205 frt. 225 rear.
I would like to have wider tires that fit nice.
Any suggestions on tire sizes .
Fuch 7J X 16" front 8J X 16 rear rims come stock on 1978 930
Is it possible to put 8J X16 on front / and purchase some 9J X 16 on rear?
I have seen 9 X16 Fuch after market ( Pelican has some ) any one out there with these ?

You can go to 225 up front and 245 on the rear, that's about the max you can get on that wheels size. The best thing to do is to go to 17" wheels and then you can go all the way to 275 up front and 315 on the rear, depending on the wheels backspacing.
