Pulling diff out????

I think my diff just went tits up, so I am pulling out this weekend. I got CV axle off and all bolts on diff side cover off. Do I need to remove big nut on center of CV axle flange on diff? Any other pointers or advice? I believe I have the Quaife ATB, will know shortly. Thanx, Jamie

I've not taken mine apart, but there's more to it than taking the side cover off. That may give you some access, but I don't think it will really allow you to work on it.

Be careful.

I am sure I can pull the diff out without removing trans, then work on diff on bench or send out for rebuild. Thanx for input, Jamie

take both axles loose, remove both drive flanges, pop diff cover off and diff will fall in your face

Yes, be careful, it's heavy and awkward
