I would be all over that!! So do u think it has ever been rebuilt or can these actually go 120,000 miles on engine? I am guessing it was most likely rebuilt 60,000 ago and ready for another rebuild.

What would it take to upgrade this to the '78-'87 930 style? Just an intercooler? Or is it not worth doing?

234 HP. Also the 76 and 77 were only 3.0 not 3.3 like the 78+ cars.

Ok, never imported a car before, but this is VERY tempting. What's entailed in importing a car to the US?

1976 and 1977 weighed over a hundred pounds less than later cars. 1976 weighs around 30 lbs less than 1977. No brake servo in 1976.
Horsepower for the american version was 245, and 260 for ROW. |

The best thing to do is keep it close to stock because people keep saying that the early 930s are the next to go up in value. Like anything can go up in value with world global financial meltdown happening, but I digress.....

Good deal
I just emailed the guy, he said there was major engine work at a 100,000 miles, didn't give specifics, and he sent me pic of rust spot which looks like it is just surface rust on door tag, this car shouldn't ever rust if it is galvanized dipped that year. Also repainted in 96 with original paint. I think this is a hell of a deal, it has instant equity in it of atleast $5-10grand or more if it truly is as nice as it looks. Whats a clutch, maybe $1000 if had done or $400 DIY. I can't imagine its too difficult to get a car imported from Canada, its not like its a gray market car, its the same as we get. Somebody get this thing, I am thinking stupid of how I can. Jamie

I imported a car going the other way US to Can...very simple just due to the year of the car. IF it is older than 15 yrs we dont have to worry about impact bumpers, daytime running lights, child restraints etc. Over 25 years is duty free .
Check out the Canadian site and maybe they have exporting info??? or link to US importing www.riv.ca

I think these are the best looking early 930's because of the rear wing. IC's can be made to fit in them, but the factory IC will not fit......Forget about the engine upgrade. These cars needed serious brake upgrades before anything else. But they are great cars. They feel lighter and are lighter than the '78 and later 930's.

Ha!
Canadian currency has been strengthening these last couple years versus the dollar. Look what $8500 gets you in California: gotta love the bird poo. Nice touch. |

When I bought my car this time last year the CDN $ was worth more than the US $ so i got an additional 5% discount.
Ontario uses lots of salt on the roads in the winter...I would want to have a good look underneath
