Does anyone know what the 930s of the era came with for standard tires. Mine has BF Goodrich Comp T/As and we are not sure whether that was an original tire or not?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't say with absolute certainty, but my guess would be Perelli. They were THE performance tire back then.

WerkI, sent PM, please take a look. Yes, the car is for all intents a 930 but badged a 911SC, turbo. It has the same braking and suspension packages that can be found on the "Euro" (RoW) version of the 930. The numbering system during the early 80's doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense from what I have researched. Also, labeling was somewhat odd between US and RoW models. Also carries the 3.3 turbo but is upgraded (?) with the RoW improvements giving 330hp, not the 300hp that was "standard" for the car with US specs? Still trying to work it out as this car is a RoW and my German is terrible!

hindsight: my 82 911SC has Pirelli listed on the CoA, but not sure on your year. I'm going with Werk I and guess it was Pirelli also.

Kind of an exciting day....we got the 930 up on the lift to take a look underneath for the first time since getting it to Stall-tech.

I thought you may enjoy looking too.

Cosmoline still coating parts

Inspection points (Lee was particularly excited about these...so I am sharing).

In good company

Dire warning!

Do you recall the widths and offsets you chose for your car? Also what size tires did you end up with?

Thanks so much for your time. Rob
Great pics. I am reviving a neglected dealer conversion. Love the way these cars sit with the Ruf wheels. Just started driving it again yesterday after months of being taken apart. Hope to start the glass out repaint in a few weeks and have it back on the roads in late January. I wish this thread was a sticky !

HELP on authenticity of 1981 911SC Slant nose

Hi!

I found an 1981 911SC slant nose but don't know how to understand if it is an original "special wishes" slant nose or not. I read that they first appeared in 1981, so if this is an original, it is quite special! Any ideas of how to find information on authenticity???

I checked the vin# and the year and model are ok. The slant nose is the issue.

Of course I have already checked that it all steel (no fiberglass), there is a single motor for the lights, etc.

One thought is that the special ext. color and interior kind of prove that it went through the "special wishes" program

just WOW!

Wow - what a find!

I wish I could add to the discussion - but I simply have to say that your car is simply stunning! Hopefully - it is one of the originals, wouldn't that be nice?!!? I think the single motor for the lights is a pretty strong clue - my after market and many that I've seen have the silly Mazda motors....as was the 'style' in the day....

good luck!

Beautiful car although I don't believe a widebody slope was offered on an SC. I helped do a number of these on SC's years ago some with and others without the slope nose. Some of them were very well done and some weren't. It would appear the rear is not correct with the small rear vents behind the arches. Either way it is a nice looking car.

I stumbled upon this 86 turbo with aftermarket steel kit today I believe it has the single motor but I wasn't buying. Seems to have a messaged engine and is nicely done but not perfect has some paint issues and a dyed interior. I am guessing it was tan now red but is a sharp car for the price they are asking it looks like a nice ride as a driver. Didn't look too closely.

Photo Shoot

Late summer I was involved in a photo shoot here in the UK. You might appreciate some of the pictures that came out of it...

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1985 factory headlight system? I'm having issues and want to completely rebuild mine.

For Sale: Rare used Porsche Factory Slantnose Fender and headlight for sell. M505 930S

New Price...$1,300 firm plus shipping.

Need a spare?

This passenger side fender needs some work. The outer flared area has 2 splits where is must have been pulled some. Needs some hammer and dolly work and welded. It also has a rust area in a non typical spot about 2” x 3” that will need to be cut out and patched. It has a couple other areas that need to be metal finished or filler used.

The headlight has the main steel mechanism, lid and other parts in the pictures.
Good used factory slant fenders have always been really hard to find used and nearly impossible now. Here is a great opportunity to own a pair for a reasonable price. Aftermarket fenders usually sell for more.

New Price.. $1,300 firm plus shipping . Can use Greyhound to save money on shipping.

I have these cross posted in other places on the internet also.

Please send a message for any other questions.

Thank you.
