early 911S vs 930

As I bought 930 4 months ago in winter and didn't drive my cars till now I was exiting to wait for good wether. But from last 4-5 days is buetiful spring so I drive my 911S (1970) and 930 (1987). I was wondering how it compare in my road test.
I like to give you some impression.

1.Acceleration

So as 930 is 300 hp (still stock) and my 911S is 200 hp (converted to Weber) I should expected than 930 is other world and ... it is. But to be onest 911S accelerate as fast as I kick floor and 930 is till 2000 rpm lazsy later is better. Early 911s is lighter so it is goal.
But 930 with boost hole is funny If I like to start fast I start with ca. 2000 rpm than lose clutch and than I have faster start then 911S. What is better ? It is question what you like.
Later 930 kill everything so overall 1:0 for 930 but still 911S is fun.

1.1. Acceleration sound

Here is my 911S twice loud as 930 and all sounds is like from super sport car (loud..)
So acceleration sound 1:0 for 911S

2. Tranny

No question much better is 915 from 930 even with only 4 gears. Pls still remember then I compare my cars - it means that not all 930 and 911S could be the same
1:0 for 930

3.MPG

Question what is to compare ? 930 is as thirsdy as 2 911S so
1:0 for 911S

4.Noise

And here I am so suprise - 930 is as quiet as I will never expected
1:0 for 930

5. Handling

Here is my question why my 911S is handling so good ? First I rebuild front and rear suspension with elephant reacing parts, have 215 15" tire and it handling like new car. I drive today both so 911S is perfect. I talking of overall handling and of course in the same speed both cars are good but 911S is more direct (my feeling) I should see what is with my 930 but at first look all suspension parts looks pretty good so damm 930 should handling better but till now :
1:0 for 911S in normal speed
1:1 with over 100 mph

6. Drivibility

No question 930 is more everyday car (is modern : in my case 17 years junger)

1:0 for 930

7. Design

For me 1:1 ( I never expected than 930 is as good as early long hood but it is)

more opinion will follow, I like to have your opinion too it could be damm interesting.

My first Porsche was a '71 2.2T, previous owner had rebuilt the motor to S specs so it had great, torquey power and was very light. It had deep-6 Fuchs, a 901 5speed (old H-pattern with 1st in and down). That gearbox took time to get the feel for, and was in need of a rebuild. Things I remember were that the brakes were unassisted, but phenomenally balanced and linear. Steering was outstanding. It still had Zeniths which would flood when you turned in hard and make the engine stumble at mid-turn tip-in. It gave the car character. I spun that car three times in traditional 911 lift-off. I STILL miss that car's sound, feel and rawness.
My second was an '89 Carrera coupe; bone stock and wonderful. The last unassisted steering, and with the coveted G50 box and 6/8x16 Fuchs. Definitely a heavier car (2900lbs wet). The 3.2 mill could rev, but you had to in order to get torque. This car was MUCH more composed and I never spun it.
Present car ('92 965) is only a little heavier than the 3.2, but being a turbo it has more rubber, more brakes, more suspension. This car is more planted and comparatively impervious to the older cars' lift-off vulnerability. I sometimes miss the unassisted steering, but with the quick rack and fantastic feedback dispite the hydraulics, I don't miss it enough to "de-power" it. The A/C works (keeps wife happy), the heat works dispite removing the secondary blowers, and it still has the great mechanical sounds and smells of a true 911.
All three cars have served as daily commuters in good and bad weather, and I just came from Home Depot with new blinds stuffed in the Turbo.
Having driven many 930s, they drive a lot like my 3.2 did, but given that I miss tighter gearing in my G50 I would certainly miss having more gears to work with in a 4speed 915 box.
If I had a 930 I'd seriously consider a G50 conversion or upgrades to the shifter and ratios on a 915. Then I'd get the first K27-7200 I could find, and a good exhaust. The turbo and exhaust alleviate the "wait-for-it" turbo lag that can dampen the daily-driver appeal of a 930. Around town you don't get to enjoy much of a Turbo's power, but letting it run through 2nd and 3rd gear is an entirely different experience than in a normally-aspirated car.
Pic taken 10mins ago, car freshly relieved of April pollen coating.

This is kind of like comparing a long legged red long to a curvy blond. Both can have a bit of an attitude but be so much fun if you are up for the effort.

8. Breaks

So without any question 930 with 917 breaks is a winner. Damm if 911s would ever dream about such break will be perfect.

1:0 for 930 (huge different)

9. Steering

As I have turbo tie roads in 911S and rebuild front suspension with elephant racing parts it is at least comparable. With 205 911S is easer to steer. so....

1:1

10. Interior

Still the same design but my 911s is equipped with Recaro with hound tooth center area as well as rebuild to as new condition some years ago so I feel better early interior as well. But really I cant say that 930 is less attractive or bad made. Still it is my opinion (emotional at all)

1:0 for 911S

Any idea what else to compare?
