Hello guys any install rsr sprint camshaft in 3.0 or 3.3 turbo engines >

let the results, i interesting if work great or not.

Not an expert and this is way out there.

However, I suspect that because of the valve timing over lap it would most likely be awful. The back pressure in the exhaust would want to blow exhaust gasses up into the intake at low rpm until boost comes up enough to offset. Then it might start blowing intake charge past the exhaust valve at some point.

If you did get it to work, the CIS would probably quickly run out of fuel as we are talking a usable power band from something like 6k to 8k.

If really wanted to do this would probably need a huge turbo that dose not show any boost until something like 4500rpm. Would have to open up the intake and exhaust a bunch. To get enough fuel might be able to use a large V8 fuel head with the two extra injector lines plumped in before the throttle plate for extra fuel. Probably would not idle below 1500rpm.

Crazy stuff i suspect if you are up for the challenge. ;)

Oh, and you will need new rods and cross drilled crank with oiling mods to alow it to spin up along with the other stuff for high rpm work.

That cam would work either only with narrower lobe spacing or with MASSIVE boost. As OME spec, it would only run above 5000 RPM w/ the stock 101 lobe spacing and subsequent overlap. Lookie here:

thanks guys for your technical information, i think is not recommended for turbo engine, I try looking a 964 cams.

That is a proven approach.

SC's might be just a little better but they are pretty close to being the same.

C2's might be better if you have your ports opened up and built a 3.5 or such.

Truth is you probably will not see any differance between the two.

Just a guess.
