What's In Your Garage?

There's a guy who lives 1/2 mile from me who always has a cool exotic in his two car attached garage. Problem is that his garage door is rarely up so I can see in.
So today I'm coming back from the dealer after getting the oil changed in the Flex and my route home takes me by his house. The garage door is up and crouching within is a 911 GT1. I actually go around the block to get another look. Yup, it's a GT1 all right. No plate on it, however.
I must do some more investigating. Stay tuned!

I don't think he would mind. Most GT1 owners are nice guys. Make sure you drive your porsche and start off by saying things like. "I live 1/2 mile away on ??? street and was out driving my porsche the other day and noticed your garage door up and you had a GT1. I was wondering if I could stop back by some time and take a look at it" Most of the time they will let you look at it right then but you have left it open if they are busy. I have had people stop at my house before to look at cars. Oh, if at all possible park where they can see your car from the front door and point in the general direction of your porsche when you refer to it the first time.

Anyway that should get you a look. The Porsche GT1 is a nice car, everybody should have one.

A block from my brother's house is a guy with what appears to be a 959 sitting in his garage.

Where do the hell you guys live? Here in sunny Buffalo we may see a nice 911, 356 or Italian job on occasion, but GT1, 959, you sure are lucky.

Huh....in my neck of the woods the only thing close is an early 80's Targa and an occasional pass-through Boxster. And an assortment of air cooled vee-dubs. The nearest mecca is at least 100 miles away. Perhaps I need to excercise a bit to see some of the exotic classics...

I have a couple friends that know Fieger pretty well, I can put a call or two into them and maybe find out...

Living near Flint is about the same. Lots of domestic cars/trucks. Porsche buddies and I joke that if we see another one it's probably one of us. I just saw a nice 928 in my town that I will be hunting down to meet the owner. He took off from a light the other day and let it rip. Sounded great!! I was working on a project and just happened to be at the store right then.

Hey Garrison,
If you can, please upload more photos of any Porsche "exotics" that you see at the parade!
Thanks in advance...

Si senior, living in farm country we have a lot of that around here. All Honda Civics lowered and burning oil as they rev the damn things past redline (sounds better through the coffee can exhaust)....rev 'till the valves float. Nice cars, especially those with the airplane wing on the back and the primer painted aftermarket air dams up front.
At least in Monroe you're somewhat close to civilization if you want it.

He may but I don't have any idea. I didn't hear the whole conversation at the event and it was a couple fo years ago.
Can you imagine he and Jack K. tooling around in an exotic?

Eh, me neither.

In one of my loops by the house I saw the owner. He didn't look anything like Fieger.
I think the guy's a broker. He changes up his daily driver quite often too. Seems to lean toward Audi's and was driving a Cayman daily last summer.
