Went for a spirited ride in my newly acquired 930 today..

Details on my new baby...

Comments welcome... I also have a few questions...

Engine:
Air-cooled 3.3-liter Turbocharged engine, CIS fuel distribution.
Additional oil cooler: Installed in left front fender.
-16 Aeroqiup fittings and braded lines.
Bottom end: stock
Camshafts: 993 Sport, billet
Flywheel: 930 M/Sport
Air pump removal
Twin plugged heads, ported and polished.
Kokeln intercooler
Turbo: K26-2660, rebuilt.
Wastegate: Not sure of manifacturer, 1 bar spring installed.
Borla exhaust: Dual tips, waste-gate is piped into drivers side tip.
Billy Boat stainless headers with heat collectors.
Andail fuel enrichment.
GReddy booth controller.
Engine top end upgrade at 70,000 miles.
Heads: ported / polished, valve springs, chains, tensioners, valve guides. Engine work by Eurotech.
Digital readout of the intake air temp and charge temperature after intercooler.
Clutch, disk and throw out bearing were replaced during engine rebuild.

Chassis:
Lowered and corner balanced to RS specs
Strut brace: Weltmeister
Michelin Pilot Sports
Wheel: Kinesis Super Cups: 17" x 8.5” (front) and 17" x 11 (rear).
Rear tires: Michilen Sport Pilots 315/35-ZR17
Front tires: Michilen Sport Pilots 245/40-ZR17
CV joints, boots and 1/2 shafts are new. Any issues with breaking axles on 930's? Seems like a premature repalcement but maybe not.
Brake pads: Jurid

Interior:
Sunroof
Steering wheel: Momo Jet
Tinted glass, factory I assume.
A/C works
Porsche "shorter" shift kit
MTX amp, rear subwoofers in the foot wells, focal speakers throughout and a Nakamichi head unit. The sterio system is likely coming out..

The headlamps say H4 on the lens and the bulbs are H4 55/100's. I thought that an '87 930 came equipped with H5 headlamps. Are the H4 preferred?

Enjoy the weekend,
HFR_Racer

Wow! I thought it was my old car until I saw the black interior and the Carrera front valence. As for the H4s, I believe they are much better than the H5. That is why the PO retrofitted them.

The guage mounted on the glove box face is a digital display for intercooler inlet out output temperature.

Thanks all for the great comments.

I've been spending some time clean light bulb contacts and getting all the lamps to function correctly. I've got everything except the engine bay lamp finished. The engine isn't cleaned up yet. I plan to drop the engine this winter and do some clean up on it. The engine bay needs some paint as well as a few components while I'm in there.

Uh oh....where have I heard that before? Ka-ching! Another hopelessly driven to perfection 930 officionado.
Very nice, by the way. Enjoy the hell out of her! Sounds like the PO did some real special work.
