Isn't that a 512 BB?
One of my all-time favorite Ferraris.

With or without the add-on cats and glued in bumper reinforcement?

Had a friend many years back with a 1983 512BBi, and couldn't believe the terrible mess the shop that Federalized the car did on the exhaust. It looked like a Midas special. I ordered and installed the factory Euro exhaust, then retuned the dual CIS heads. While I had the rear bumper off I removed the cheesy steel channel that was glued in, did the same to the front, like they were going to do anything in a crash..............LOL. Never touched the door beams.

Your car pics bring back old memories! What a driver! Nice ride combined with decent handling for the year, and the sound of that flat 12!

Are the main release levers for the front and rear clams still intact? They were kind of flimsy, good thing Ferrari had secondary releases...........LOL

i love the question about the clamshell latches! the front is intact but the rear broke last year. i relaced it with a new one from ferrari for abot $180.

i used the seconadry system for a while before fixing the primary. another note: car federalized by dick fritz (amerispec) and re-euroed by roberto villa in bastiglia at HUGE expense by the original owner.

the drive is remarkable and when in in, you feel like you are driving a true thoroughbred!!!
