Proper Jackstand Location, Again

Guys,
I am going to be doing a 4 wheel brake job on my 87 930, and plan to put the car on 4 stands. On the rear I will put stands under the rear torsion bar covers, but not sure where to put the front jackstands. Before someone directs me to the search button, I have read 1000 posts on this and seems like there are 1000 opinions. I normally put the front stands under the front torsion bar covers in between the two bolts. Because one of the bolts is lower than the other, it is just not giving me the warm fuzzies with this location. Also have considered putting it a few inches rearward just behind the cover and bushing, but am concerned about damage to the bushing. Does there seem to be any general consensus on where the proper front stand location is, among the 930 guys? Also have come to the conclusion that it might be best to get the rear on stands, then do the front since the rear is much heavier and is well supported on the T-bar covers and has a natural pivot.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric..

All four points mentioned are good.. as far as sliding back on the front.. that's fine too, just not directly on the bushing. You could also use the cross bar at then ends if you jack stand pad etc.. will fit. Been using those points for years.

Unless you have to have all four wheels off at the same time, I would do one end or the other as a safety precaution.

Your jackstand locations sound good.

Geez, what a night. replaced pads and rotors all four, fixed broken parking brake, repacked front bearings, rebuilt left front caliper. Ended up using the front torsion bar covers, still concerned about it slipping off the front end, pushed and pulled the car before working on it and didn't budge. If I could just get the wife to help me bleed the brakes I would be in business, Mity vac didn't work too good.
