LED lights

Has anyone replaced the standard rear tail lights with LED replacement "bulbs"? The small stock bulbs, although they work, aren't very bright in the daylight.

Also, has anyone upgraded their dash lights to LEDs? Are the gauges brighter?

Thanks

I have a set of LED light bulbs that I bought for my gauges but then went a totally different route. I paid $25. I will sell them for $20 shipped.

I have the LED bulbs in the stop lights of my SC. They work just fine.

As far as the guage lights. Yes and no, they are a little brighter and the light is very white. I do likle them. But you lose the ability to dim with LED.
If you are looking for lights i got mine here.

I tried a few different LED tail light bulbs from auto parts stores and couldn't find one that looked brighter than filament bulbs.

I tried to get LED R tail lights from Rebel Racing but they stopped selling them due to quick burn outs of the bulbs and won't sell them until they find a good replacement.

On the dash lights, yes I went with a Red LED and boy-o-boy do they look good and I can SEE them at night or twilight. Send them off to North Hollywood Speedo and you'll love them for it, the LED upgrade is a few hundred for all gauges but sooo worth it. The white LED's are much brighter than the red due to wavelengths etc but I like the night vision effects of red in lieu of the bright white.

Red LED's at Twilight and at night (Pic):

There is a thread on the 911 tech forum that details the use of el wire instead of led lights I wish I had seen that thread before I did the 5 watt xenon bulbs which are much brighter but more load on system and cant use the stock harness as they will burn out the dimmer.
