What dose your 930 weigh?
A stock 930 is supposed to be something like 3005 lbs.
What dose yours weight and what have you done to lighten it? Anyone under 2500 lbs? Pictures would be nice to.

Last time I weighed mine at Roebling Road Raceway, it weighed 2950 lbs IIRC. All steel, cage, full interior except no floormats and seats are Butler Built.
I'd like to loose 500 lbs though! (And me 50) |

Well it depends....
My car is at 2480 right now because I removed the passenger seat. But it was 2512 with the seat (and a tank of gas). So I guess I am just on either side of 2,500 lbs... I am still working on some winter weight loss projects. Lightweight seats are awfully tempting. |

As for weight? I dunno. Removed a lot of stuff. Probably gonna put a few pounds back on when I fit the Euro rear bumper teets. I removed the huge US eddition bumper pads, so currently my rear bumper is bare.

For a daily driven street car with full intentions of retaining the stock body work an metal bumpers, I'd be happy with 2750-2800 pounds.

Anything special you did to take off weight. Diped chassis, EPR suspension, fiber wings, hood, doors...? Just love that car. Never weighed my 78 Turbo. My 91 C2 Turbo with bigger brakes, RUF wheels, emptied front trunk, B&B, rear seat backs removed, and speedster shell style seats came in under 2950. |

Turboo934, i freak out every time i see your old-skool hot rod. One of the nuttiest (but coolest) color combos ever. At 2550, that thing has to be a rocket sled. When u gonna give us a peak at your fender well intercoolers you sly trickster you.

I thought I'd expand on my answer:
When I first got my a car it weighed 2900 lbs with FG bumpers, heavy cast wheels, and extra stereo stuff so I figure it weighed close to stock. Now it weighs 2750 lbs with these changes: Weight reducing stuff: No A/C EFI (so all the CIS stuff is gone) 8 lb muffler light starter no rear seat backrests light clutch and flywheel rare earth magnet speakers the FG bumpers that came with the car a bunch of little things Other stuff: hollow torsion bars (they actually weigh the same as the smaller stock bars) 255/315-17 tires on 19/20 lb Kodiak wheels (they're not much lighter than the other wheels and tires since they're much bigger) Weight added: heavy, 30 lb, intercooler I'm planning to replace the heavy sport seats with Recaro PP's, but I'll add a rollbar too so there won't be any weight savings. I thought with all the stuff I've done that it would be lighter, but it is still a street car just without the A/C. I'm really debating which direction to go with it.

2833 pounds with a little over 1/2 tank of gas. Corner balanced, all OEM parts and a stereo that probably weighs a little bit.
