I've thought about a cover, but then decided trying to keep one on would be difficult and any flapping might cause paint damage if dirt and debris got under it.

Just a heads up. Make sure the doors are shut tight and locked. I had my 58 speedster transported from OKC. They backed it on the trailer and did not check the doors. Drivers door came open a 70 and nearly tore it off. The repair cost the hauler 5 times what I was supposed to pay for delivery. No one needs to feel that feeling was nearly as bad as being told I had cancer. Do not cover the car unless the trailer is enclosed it will beat the s--- out of the paint at speed.
