Bello -Texas 2010 One Mile Event-
 

Texas 1 Mile 2010

Since this section of the forum is for all the HP Junkies, we will update this thread daily in aims to share with all of you the sequence of events before, going to and the runs from the 2010 Texas One Mile Record breaking attempt.

The goal is to run 245 MPH from 0 to 1 mile.

The car is in great condition and it's possible that it can run more than that, just to give you an idea it took over 50 man hours to get the car ready for this upcoming event.

Wednesday 24

I left the shop at 11.45 PM and the team was about 1 hour away to start the journey to Texas 4 drivers will take turns driving non stop.

Great job guys!!! I would say good luck to Eddie, but he is so prepared for this that luck will only play a minor role. Glad that all the safety gear was ready in time so that he will be safe no matter what.

Sounds GREAT! I wish I could make the mile event this weekend to see it in person but previous engagements got me tied up.. If you guys come through Houston on your journey and need anything/last minute wrenching or have time for cold brew hit me up.. Mi Casa Su Casa ;)

Just go the first stream of news and they are not good, the team still traveling out of Florida currently by Pensacola but the tow vehicle has develop a transmission oil leak. I don't know the extend yet. Will report more later...:(:rolleyes:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/nono.gif

:(Damn, don't tell me Eddie is gonna have to drive his car to TX again! Well, certainly should be able to make it in record time if he does! Hope those guys can band-aid it up and keep moving.

Goliad is only about 100 miles from here. I might make the trip down. Still waiting to see if I can get a day pass. Looks like the weather will be perfect. Cool and Sunny!

The tow vehicle was repaired and the team continues the journey after what we hope to be a NEW world record. More later............

Thanks for keeping us updated on the group's action, and the car. Good to know you three are really involved, as it motivates me. Trying to figure out how to find more than a couple hours a day to work on various projects, with out loosing site of the most important ones requiring much more.

Eddie Bello is behind the wheel of the tow vehicle, passengers from inside the vehicle are in fear of their lives, according to the report he is driving "New York Style" passing Mobile at this time.

That 468 miles to Houston....Keep it floored!

I'll be in the garage putting the final tweeks to my 3.4 tonight so we can get it installed Saturday morning....Cold beer anyone?
