930 CIS Fuel Line Fittings
I'm looking to have a custom set of (6) fuel lines made and am having a devil of a time finding the end fittings.
On the 930 hard fuel lines that extend from the fuel head to the injectors both ends are identical. The ferruled line and matching coupler apparently are an off size as no one I have spoken to can ID them. A google search didn't help and I would rather not chop up a set of good hard lines to use as donors.. I've seen pictures of braided steel lines some time ago but cannot recall who makes them. Any help appreciated.

Brian,
Call John at 972-564-9321 he can make you a set of 6AN lines cheaper than you can buy all the parts. Specialtyauto.com Email john@specialtyauto.com Cole

Thanks for the leads.
I looked at SpecialT early on but did not see the correct fittings for 930. The fittings for 911SC and Delorean etc are all smaller. I'll give them a call and see what they can do.

Brian,
John is going to be doing the lines for my car and will make whatever you want. I'm going with 6AN lines to the Fuel head and larger for the pressure and return lines. Cole

Good deal. What do you think is a ballpark figure on cost for the 6 lines?
I found that old picture I had of these lines but have no idea where I got the picture. Anybody recognize this picture?

Brian,
John gave me a ballpark, because of the relocated CIS, of $185. Having a standard length and configuration I'm sure he can give you a firm number. I made 4 brake lines myself and with parts, crimp, and testing it was more than that. Cole

Thanks for the info and pictures Dave. I too am relocating the CIS and cannot use the stock lines. I also need a set for my CIS test bench. It would be ideal to find the correct fittings and make my own lines as I won't know the exact lengths until putting it all together.

Brian,
John will sell just the bulk line and fittings if you choose to make your own. You can also send individual measurements less fittings and he will custom make the lines. John is really a CIS specialist and has virtually every fitting known to CIS. He has been doing MBenz, Volvo, Porsche, DeLorean CIS for years. I have also bought some braided as well as AN oil lines from a company on EvilBay called Race City Parts. They have a lot of good Nascar take off stuff that is like new and very reasonable, good people also. Are you going the 934 route with the CIS, right rear corner? I'm mocking up an aluminum mounting plate for the CIS now. Working off the AC compressor brackets to mount the CIS bracket off those mounting points. Could modify the AC an mount but it's very heavy. This is going to shorten the turbo intake inlet from that 3 foot barrel of snakes to a 14 inch 90* tube. Should make a significant difference in spool and recharge time. Way cool. Cole

Good deal, I'll call him on Monday.
No 934, I mocked up a twin turbo configuration a few years ago before I started the muffler business. I began using my car for fitment testing and had to abandon the personal projects. Now I would like to dust the project back off and give it a go. I had brackets made up and the system pretty much complete. All that was left was fuel lines and to finish the air intakes. Cool looking setup, no idea how well it will work. That's part of the fun ...

Brian,
That's fantastic, the very ultimate is a twin turbo-ed old school 930. Just no place to go from there. Cole

EFI is more elegant of course but I think there is nothing significant in terms of gains/dollar by doing so for this application. Goal is the typical 400whp, more an excersize in the possible as I am not interested in crazy power with this car and tranny. I'll post it when I'm done.

and... yes the cold start valve is fed by the fuel head.
it's connected to a line into lower chamber system pressure to the left of the large banjo fitting return line. and, on an aluminum lambda fuel head the frequency valve feed line is to the left of the cold start feed line. |

Thank you Chris!
On another note I saw where you mod oil tanks for twin turbo application. Can you email me a price on that mod?
