Both feet in
Well I guess I have both feet in now on my bargin purchase 911 with a 930 motor. It appears that the motor is needs to come out. There appears to be a large amount of oil coming from the right side cam tower and heads. Originianlly thought to be an oil return tube turns out to be from something else. There is also evidence someone else previously working in this area. There was rtv on the oil tube o-rings (the rtv is more expensive than the o-rings) and in between the cam towers and the heads.
I had posted earlier "what is this sensor", thank you for all the replies btw, I guess I am going to know what they all are. While I'm in there I am going to reseal the entire motor with the help from some friends. What cams are recommended for a 930/64 EFI converted turbo motor with a k27s turbo? From what I read so far it appears grinding the 930 cams to a 964 grind is a nice set up. |
