Fuel acumulator?
Are there any difference in fuel accumulator?
They look the same as the normal 911. I have a 87 930 ,and was wondering because i have a early 80s 911 one they look the same but are they different inside? Thanks |

I guess the trick would be to look up the part numbers and see if they are the same or different.

there are many fuel accumulators. besides number of ports 2,3 etc.. the amount of fuel they hold(cc,s) is important too.

I'm curious about this also. I just replaced an accumulator in my 77 and the replacement / superseded part was significantly smaller in capacity. Cured the problem. But, maybe I'm being hyper-sensative, I swear I feel a new slight miss at part throttle. I'm really wondering about the AF ratios under load..........

Just changed my accumulator and filter which made the car run uber rich. The old accumulator was a lot bigger than the new one. Adjusted AF´s and toight as a tiger now.

I've just changed both on mine and fingers crossed it has cured a few issues???
Frenchstick.......on your 'before' picture that fuel filter looks a very old design, any idea how old that would have been, could it have been te original? When ever i replace servicable items now i always use a Sharpie to put a date on the new part for future reference.

Aaahh... as ashamed as I am to say, it could have well been
. It was a Bosch filter and surprisingly had little gunk in it when opened. To be changed a bit more frequently from now on.
