Twin supercharged 959 replica

Just came across this factory build 959 replica.
Says that it's build on a 78 930 with spare parts from factory

Never seen this set-up before

Does not look "factory built" from the exterior appearance and Porsche never experimented with supercharging so I doubt the "factory" claims. Looks like an orphan, I would be interested to read more specs on that engine though.

Kind of agree that it does not look factory built. See that it also has the 964 center console.

I does not have any more info regarding this car unfortunately. Maybe some other will chime in

I've seen that twin SC setup on another (930) car many years ago. The factory 959's are well documented and the sequential twin turbos were a major part of the technology showcase displayed in that model. They also were not made from 930's as the factory shots of production show.
I'm sure Wayne is an expert on the model by now and can definitively answer these questions.

I'm pretty sure 959s were built on 930 tubs. Although they were extensively modified for AWD and wishbone suspension they started out with the same base as the lowly 930. The first 959s showed up in 1985 so I'm not sure anything else was available.

Hi.
I have seen this 959 replica, its made from a new factory body? Porsche Sweden made wrong order of a complete body. some language misunderstanding and, and a 959 body was in Sweden. This original body was sold to a private party. I have seen this car in real life many years ago and it was in a fantastic shape. The owner have a fantastic collection of many cars. one of the best collection (except the factory collection).(Porsche) and he is also a A class driver.

I can't imagine the parasitic loss that poor little 930 motor is experiencing thanks to not just 1 but 2 of the eaton blowers!! YIKES!

Hej Pelle. I believe Benny got this body very cheap from Porsche Sweden..
The German language is a big problem zwei and Schwein sounds almost the same
You know what I mean... That could be one reason that 2 (zwei) 959 body arrived

The car - like any crazy slut, you eventually have to start dealing with their ****. At least the car doesn't talk, which makes quality time together, well quality time

Sick car, dig the departure from the norm, bodywork execution is flawless.
