I just purchased a 1981 930 and I was curious as to how many were produced that year.

I own one ;)

Thanks for the great info. It looks like a own #570. Is there any way to determine what options the car was ordered with from the vin?

The only way I know is to order a Cardex from PCNA in Atlanta.

One noted authority on production is 698 +63

ser # range for 1981 930 is WPOZZZ93ZBS000001 to S000698
then 1981 930 for Canada WPOJAO93BSO50001 to S050063

Try emailing marc.noack@porsche.de with your VIN number. I did it recently and he sent me a list of options my 82 930 was ordered with along with a ship date and destination.

I just got some information today about my 930. It appears that my invoice date was May 10th and the car was delivered to Glockler Porsche in Frankfurt. Does anyone know if this dealer still exists?
