rear bumper valance
can someone please confirm one way or the other that the rear center bumper valance (not the fender extensions) on a 911 SC / Carrera is the same piece/part number as on the 930? i can't find 2 different part Numbers so i assume they are interchangeable.

I've been looking for One as well, the only difference I've noticed is in the bottom lip of the valence. My original one has a slight lip (about a quarter inch) along the edge that poins perpendicular to the ground.
I've seen pictures of the 911 unit (not very good one, so it's hard to tell for sure), but the lip is much more pronounced and points toward the front of the car (parallel to the ground). I have no idea if it is different in order to provide a different airflow to the turbo. I think were talking to the same guy selling the valence though I made an offer, he responded back, I accepted, and haven't heard from him since. That was a few days ago, I'm assuming he's waiting for your offer to see if he can get more. I have a dual out exhaust and don't want to cut my original valence in case I ever want to go back to stock. If someone else can confirm im all ears too...

I manufacture full wrap and custom cut fiberglass valances for the 911 and 930 as a complement to fitting my exhaust systems.
The only difference between a 911 and 930 valance is the angle of the corner tabs. The reason for that is that the valance for the 930 is moved farther back on the bumper than that of the 911.

now that I know what the differences are, i'll comarae the one on my 88 911 against the 79 930. the valance on my 930 was cut for a dual out for the B&B+headers and i eventualy want to go back to a stock single out w/ probaby the euro headers.

Ok, fixed my iPad and found a photo. I don't have a pic of my 930 valence, but here is the difference on the both lip I was talking about, circled in red.
![]() Brian, how does that compare with your fiberglass unit?

I took a closer look today. Other than the contour of the lip/edge difference as previously noted, the valance on the 930 has a couple studs welded on the back side of it where a heat shield attaches to it. The valance on my 911 does not have this.

Here is a picture of my full wrap valance next to a stock 930 unit. The contour is simply extended to the driver's side as a mirror of the passenger's side. The lip at the bottom is retained.
