Wheel freshening part 2

Last summer I posted some pics of my 930 wheels that I "freshened" a bit.
I painted the black centers body color with base, clearcoat.
I noticed that there are no Porsche crest centers available for the BBS wheels so
I undertook a bit of a project.
The stock BBS plastic logo just pops out of the center cap. The opening is
2 3/4 inches diameter, so i ordered some aluminum stock 2 3/4", cut it to 1/4' thickness,
drilled and counter sunk the center for a retainer screw. Then I sanded with increasing number, eventually using 1000 wet dry paper. Then I used 2 types of
polish compound on a random orbit buffer. I ordered 4 Porsche crest logo's
These were attached with their sticky backing. I then used a 2 part clear epoxy
resin designed for outdoor use and layered about 3/16" on the new cap. This holds the logo crest in position with additonal strength.
Once this is totally set up for 3 or 4 days, the whole center cap assembly will get fresh clearcoat.
The new cap insert is removable and the BBS logo can easily be re-installed..
I will post more pics when the snow melts and I can get the "beast" outdoors...
