Paint on the fins of a intercooler ?
Hi:
Wondering if i can paint the fins for better "appearance". I have read that it may interfere with the cooling a very small amount. It is a larger than stock cooler Andial i believe. Im not to happy with the way it looks now and believe that matching the fins to the color of the outside would be better. Any pointers on paint or process? I do not race the car......... |

mine is painted came that way. i usually just use a spray can of black engine paint to touch it up

Think the best way is to coat the IC with thermal disperant coating. Mine is coated with techline TLTD coating (15-25% increase in thermal disperance than plain aluminium)
Many gun-coatings is thermal disperant and can be a good readily available alternative..?
