LC-1 install
Going to be doing the install this week. Does anyone have a link to a good thread? I done some searches, but mostly come up with multi usage (LMA-3) installs. Are supplied wires going to be long enough? Any fusible links needed? How about spades/connectors? thanks Philip

I recently put in an MTX-L that came with a 10 foot cable and it was not quite long enough to reach from just after the muffler to under the ashtray where I mounted the gauge. I cut the cable in the middle and extended it about 3 feet. I used standard 16 gauge wire and wrapped it all tightly with aluminum foil under electrical tape.
I also installed a an SSI-4 in the passenger footwell. I took the power for both units from the "on with ignition" wire on the radio. Overall very easy install. The hardest part was fishing through the tight grommet next to the shift coupler to bring it into the passenger compartment.

My mechanic just ordered a 4 wire trailer harness and spliced it in.
