Original 911 Turbo Radio??
Hello all,
Just considering insuring my 1988 911 Turbo as a collector vehicle when it reaches the required 25 years of age as insurance in BC Canada is less than half the price. Does any one know the make of radio that was original back in 1988? Also if possible could anyone take a picture of the original radio in the dash and post it, any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance |

They usually have some on ebay. Be patient an you will find one at a great price. I have 2 Reno's a good one and a decent one that I am keeping for parts. I found the good one on ebay 2 months ago for $130.

Congrats, I would be happy to even pay more when I need an original radio. Anyone else have ( 1976 to 1989 930 good working radios) to sell? Either PM or forum post, ok.

If you buy one on fleebay or anywhere, make sure it includes the security code. I presume (presumptions are dangerous things, kind of like asses and assumptions) that most Blaupunkts come with a security code such that if the power is ever disconnected you have to enter said code to get it to work. That is the case with the radio-in-a-box that came with my car (the PO had apparently decided to install some other non-German make) but kept the BPKT. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work without the code. Might not be true with all, but it is with mine.
