Dp935 ?

Hello,

can this be a DP motorsport 935 conversion?
The conversion was done around 1981.

The condition is bad, especially in the areas where they
added the air vents in the rear quarters.
+ the rear quarters look small, just normal turbo wide.
Wasn`t the DP935s a little wider?

If you contact DP, they may have records of it by VIN. The son runs the shop now, and he really tries to keep the business as his dad had it. If they did the car, he may know.

Not a DP. The front is wrong, the DP rear fenders are wider, the tail is wrong. Go here for various versions of the DP bodywork for street cars. The DP935 Registry: Photo Gallery

Hi Falk,
When the economy was better, I had a 87 Black DP935.
The wing is wrong and the vents out the back front fenders are wrong. The rear lights in the bumper almost look correct. The front spoiler and rocker panels would have DP embossed in negative relief. They made a Stage 1&2 package.
It may be difficult to get a lot of info out of DP. The son runs it now and I recall them being not very chatty.

Wow, really? I could not get them to stop talking, both when I visited and via email :D

Thanks for your comments!
I checked the DP935 registry and found this article:

The front fenders design, just from side view look similar.
I guess there were different designs available in the early years.

I will try to get in contact with DP next week, maybe they have
some info about this car.

thanks
Falk

I don't see any similarities to the DP935 car in the PDF you linked to. That DP935 looks like they were trying to make the car look similar to Kremer 935 bodywork.

I like the picture down at the bottom where it shows it is twin turbo and there is a CIS unit sitting on the rear apron. Made me chuckle when I saw that.. wish it was written in english so I could read about it.

Here's the pic converted to jpeg
