Old clutch pics

Greetings:

Some Pics of my clutch disc-shot--and pedal shaft-shot--and some pics of my engine..

Went by the shop on the weekend to see the progress--Didn't think the engine was going to be in so fast.. Replaced the rocker shafts, new valve cover gaskets and a few hoses/oil leaks..

My wrench- has to do a few adjustments to the intercooler-7th injector placement , and all is done....

I installed a KEP-STAGE 2- 915..(ALUM-PP,Pilot bearing-Kep organic disc-.New clutch wire,bushings..etc....1st impression as for feel..... I immed. thought for the worse...
But i was wrong.....It was very smooth and definetly lighter than my orignal set-up...Pleasantly surprised....Glad I went with a stage 2.

Hmmm....I don't know that I've ever seen a clutch disc self-destruct like that. Nasty!

Never abused my clutch--strictly HWY--no 0-60mph--stuff--

Felt it let go once I had my targa top on--on a cold 40-45 degree night--doing 60-130mph--was in 4th gear-915..And that was with a 930 stock intercooler..

The car just felt GREAT in that weather for a couple of seconds then..Dang-shhh00-frekn-- saw the rpms fly from 4500rpms to 6000rpms...

Car still drove nice to baby it home....I was a little surprised of the damage..

Update:
Took out the machine for its first run today. With the new stage 2 clutch, andial intercooler, new clutch components, valve adj, rocker shafts,& fix some oil leaks. Immediate difference is the clutch feel. Total different feel for the better. A little stiffer but instant grab...No complaints here. The top end is a big difference. Feels like a new set of lungs..the pull is just great. Didn't! Notice any more lag from my stock intercooler..The carsounds different on top end and feel. I wouldn't think doing a few things to the engine would be so dramatic. Money well spent..luv it. The car rev's quicker and going into gear is smoother...

On a side note, I heard a hooligan exhaust today, gt3 look..much louder than my b&b..at idle..More Zork like...
Had a little side by side race wth an nsx-turbo...60-120mph...The car was immaculate..The driver was smiling and confident when he hit it...Just reeled him in....He gave me a thumps up and departed....
