Need k27 Turbo Support Bracket

Well the particular bracket that I wanted... part # 930 123 921 05... seems to be temporarily unobtainable from Germany through our sponsor so I'm still looking...

Please shoot me a note if you've got a lead on one or have a used one you're looking to part with.

Really? The part number I posted was for the bracket usd on the special wishes cars with the k27. Would have expected it to have the appropriate spacing on the holes. Did you guys have to slot yours?

Philip do you have one you're looking to part with?

philip j 03-14-2012 11:08 AM

Yes I...

have the one I ordered and didn't use. Philip

I was expecting the same thing too, I'll throw up a pic later.

Does anyone have pics of a K-27 on a stock 930 exhaust flange? Is there interference on the turbine side somewhere?

The Sonderwunsch engine I have came with a K-27 7006. The pic below shows the factory bracket to support the K-27. Notice, that nothing had to be done to meet up with the B&B flange. The yellow outline is the area I believe is modded to support the K-27.

You can use a stock K26 bracket for the K27, the K27 needs the exhaust flang face machined down to the same overall spacing as the k26 had, thats how Andial did mine or send your turbo to them or a reputable machine shop and have it done there on a four jaw chuck on a lathe...

Part number 930.123.121.05 fits 3LDZ '78-'89 and K27-7200 '91-'93. The brackets for 3.0L 3LDZ, '94 C2T 3.6, and special wishes K27-7006 have unique part numbers.
None of those part numbers will fit a K27-7200 on a 930 of any year.

Easy enough to make it fit tho. Just modify/slot the holes where needed.

Guys, I am in need of a turbo bracket. I just installed Brian's RarlyL8 Hooligan side exit and right now all I have holding everything up is the B&B flange. I'm running a K27 7006. Btw, the hooligan sounds incredible on my car. Thanks again Brian!

Turbo heat shields

I don't want to high jack your thread 930DLR, but I have to ask TtSugeon about his heat shields above the turbo. I think that many of us are trying to address the issue of paint discoloration resulting from turbo heat. So, Tt surgeon, can you tell us where you got the stuff and whether you got the results that you wanted.
Cheers,
Uwon

that's actually not my car, but that is the stick on heat tape/shields sold by many, including jegs

There's some info on this subject in this recent thread.

Tt surgeon 04-20-2012 11:00 PM

If anybody needs one, I have one available. I originally bought it off Phillip thinking I would save my stocker, but I had Andial mill down the hot
side now the stock bracket fits all three holes without modification.
thanks 66cal912

Mike930Euro 04-21-2012 05:43 AM

I still need one.
