No Spark on 964 C2 Turbo
The car was running perfectly. I stopped off at Office Depot, came out restarted and 50 ft later it just shut down like the switch was turned off.
Car cranks tank full. Relays, fuses etc. ok. It's been at the shop 2 days and they still haven't found the problem and these guys aren't novices. Any ideas? No check engine, no codes on the hammer. 964 C2 Turbo. There was no rough running before or any other issues, it just quit. |
Verify Ignition relay output (relay number 1 ,left engine compartment) verify engine reference sensor output , If these check out you may need a EZ69 ignition control unit, Last one we had in the shop with no spark had a defective reference sensor ,
Good luck, Lou |

Unplug the reference sensor from the EZ unit and measure resistance. Should 560-640 Ohm. If that's ok, make sure the overboost switch on the back of the intercooler is closed. |
aerodyn and 911nut - you guys are awesome. Not my car with the problem, but want to say thanks for sharing!

Yes thanks for the input, I was hoping it wasn't the EZ unit but it sure looks like that is the problem.
