Question Rookie question, burble

Hi
I have a real nice burble when I lift off the throttle on my 87 930, I don't know if its just me or not but it seems to be more of a burble than earlier in the year, is this an indication of an impending wastegate, spring or diaphram failure?
Thanks
Finn

You can check your wastage muffler/dump pipe for any exhaust puffs at idle, which might indicate some leaking. I doubt it though, considering you don't mention any boost complaints.

I've found the burble is very related to AFRs. Time of year can matter too (I used to rejet my GSXR twice a year). Lean seems to cause more and almost borderline backfiring. A bad decel valve will definitely kick it up from where it used to be.
