Agree, Kremer built very few street models as compared to DP Motorsport and your 930 takes "one off " rarity to a new level.

Also try to contact Kremer for build info to verify authenticity for insurance purposes among other reasons. It will also help decide what ( if anything) to remove and return to original build, if that is your goal. The one I have was provided some years ago (the insurance company ordered it from them ) before both Kremer Brothers passed away, however Kremer GMBH was still in business, last I heard. Also I recently found out that a popular guy on FerrariChat is good friends with the guy who imported my car in the 80's. The name on the DOT door jamb sticker (Leo) is the friend and now lives in Frankfurt. So I'm going to give 'ol Leo a call and see what he can tell me as well.

F-Chat guy actually took the New Mexico pic above. Says he hit 155 mph earlier that day lol.

"I've always wondered what happened to that car. My friend Leo Clignett imported it (along with an "ordinary" 911 Targa) back in the early 80s. He had already moved to Frankfurt, Germany (still lives there) but had a place in Santa Fe, NM (next door to Georgia Okeefe) for a while. I took this photo on a drive we took while I was there. I don't believe Leo was the original owner and he sold the car a short time after my visit and returned to Germany.

It looks like a different plate number in the picture from Germany, I suspect it was someone else driving then. When Leo was in Santa Fe (actually Tesuque) he lived with a guy named Gilbert Jimenez who was in the car business. It's possible that he was the next owner after Leo, I don't remember. Leo was my best-man when I got married the first time. I haven't seen him in more than 10 years but we exchange emails once in a great while.

It's a fun car and at the time, was the fastest car I'd ever driven. Had it up to 155 on the way to take the picture. :D"

+1 This is a unique Porsche that was period modified...I would keep it as "original" to period as possible. Make sure you photo document the car if you do decide to remove something so a future steward can always return it to "original".

I wished I would have kept this, but glad to see the inprovements you have made. They were all much needed. Look forward to seeing it completed!

Hmmm... I have been known to don my Fletch teeth whilst piloting mine :D. Fun to mess w/ gawking passers' by.

And I once did hustle mine to shag my son from a Halloween party... while dressed as what was effectively Mrs. Doubtfire (my wife was my counterpart, a short frail old man)... white old lady heels ginormous balloon bewbs and thick pillow rump and all. That garnered some convos. Made it hard to shift too!

After a couple days having all the the decals digitally recorded/duplicated, I decided to just redo the whole thing. Only the red/silver/black perimeter stripes are going back on. The other fruity "Kremer Street" stickers are being recreated and kept in a file that goes with the car.

Glad to see that youre enjoying your car, looking good! If you don't mind my asking, who are you using to recreate your decals(Kremer Street, etc)? Are the stripes on your car painted or are they a decal as well?

Well I don't know how much enjoyment I've had yet lol. I bought the silly thing 2.5 years ago and have driven it for real exactly once. That hasn't stopped me from spending cubic $$$ and busting a few of my own knuckles though. hah.

Eurotech has a place they use to make all the decals. I guess I should find out who that is. Whoever it is my car spent 2 days there.

The stripes are decals.

Having a windows out re-spray is definitely one of my end goals, I would love to check out your car once they finish it.

Right on, well hopefully your summer is full of evening blasts in it! You will get plenty of attention for sure;) Thanks for info on your stripes, the ones on my car are painted; I have had mine for 18 months and have only drove it 3 times, and I know all to well the $$$ spent! It's been a learning process, but the first drive was awesome, the second and third were equally good as well.

Im thinking of going to mine with an angle grinder tonight and copy that design, i think they look cool, save some weight and cool the brakes also,
