New? 911 Turbo S GB Edition mimics '74 930
The 2014 911 Turbo S GB Edition has been designed to mimic the original 911 Turbo, the 930. Special touches include a black rear upper spoiler, Sport Classic wheels in black, black finished exterior door handles, and a black “Porsche” script along the sills. Inside, the black leather upholstery features contrasting red stitching and unique highlights include Union Jack logos on the center storage compartment lid and glove box.
Buyers can choose between silver, white or red for the exterior, while carbon fiber trim can be added inside. Bespoke floor mats with leather edging complete the look. No changes have been made to the mechanicals, which means the car’s rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine is packing 560 horsepower. This drives all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and is powerful enough to rocket the car from 0-62 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Top speed is 197 mph and the Nürburgring lap time is 7:27. I don't see a picture but this could be fantastic. I hope they don't put a tiptronic and a cupholder in them, bad enough it will be water cooled they could still keep the interior somewhat classic too. Last edited by reachme; 07-15-2014 at 07:53 PM.. its pretty early in the product cycle to be doing these "appearance" option packages though. They are usually reserved for milking those last few customers before the next model arrives
if they had any earnest desire to tribute the 930 they would have removed the front drive bits.

Wow. They painted the spoiler black. And added some "Porsche" script just above the rockers. That's just like a 930. Oh, and they used the modernized "Fuchs"...painted all black so you can't even see them.

No thanks!
It doesn't look like my 930... but mine is a 78 not a 74 :-) |

It looks like something you can achieve with a simple DIY project with any 991 Turbo.
Would've been better if Porsche re-introduced the 930 itself
