Tested FP voltages... your thoughts? normal or ?
Guys, I finally got to checking the voltage at my fuel pumps. Does this voltage drop look normal? am i testing correctly? all advice is appreciated.
Pumps on w/ no charger, Pumps on w/charger, Same but swaped relays @Battery 12.01V, 12.06V, 12.06V @Rear FP 10.42, 10.52, 10.66 @Front FP 11.42, 11.49, 11.43 |

12.06 with a battery charger on the battery? thats low.
there is a lot of current flowing thru one fuse with both FP's on. with that much current, it does not take much resistance to drop a volt or two. remove the fuse and clean the ends and clean the fuse holder. you can aslo remove the wires to the fuse holder and clean the ends of the screws and the wires. why the voltage check?

Thanks for the feedback. I was checking the voltage to cross it off the list of things to check as I am going lean on the top end.
So it is normal to see a 1v drop to the rear fuel pump? |
