Any Idea Where This Belongs?

Ran across this wire hanging loose by the fuse panel. Any ideas where it may belong?

First photo is of the general location. The closer up photo shows where it splits off from.

Looks OEM by the look of the end fitting. Could be anything. I presume that you have checked that everything works in the car. Was the radio replaced and perhaps power was spliced in elsewhere? Any other mods? I would check with a meter and determine if its grounded. If not, then test for power with ignition off then on, then turn on electrical equipment one by one. If not found, cap it off and go for a ride!

Doesn't look origonal to me and neither do a few other wires laying around sloppy in there. Most wires are in a harness along with other wires in German cars, not out all by themselves.
Follow it back into the car up under the dash in that corner and see where it goes.
