Just got my 1975 911 S with widebody kit running, bad coil, msd got another one! Anyway, started driving it around town (Houston), and it was running hotter than usual 210 deg. Checked mixture, timing, adjusted fan belt, etc. etc. still running hotter than usual. Pulled the fan housing, leaves and tree debris blocking oil cooler! Vacuumed crap out, shampooed interior, and now running 180-190. I'm gonna make a cover to throw over the deck lid when parking under trees. Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have the hoop cooler in the front right fender?

No, the 911 turbo tail comes with screen under the louvers.
It's like 1/4" mesh galvanized steel hardware cloth attached just below the louvers and the origonal stuff is installed with the mesh at a 45 degree angle, probably for looks. Leaves and bugs don't go through it. |

Don't have a screen under the slats on the whale tail, just A/C condenser.

I have the mesh, but the size is such that the pin oak leaves, and debris go right through it. I will clean out the garage, the car and peace of mind are worth it. I'll still travel with a mat
