question

I'm waiting to install a bigger turbo but have to solve my vibration issue first...
I did install new headers and muffler together with 964 cams.
When I'm accelerating with this setup power comes in late (5000 rpm)
Is this normal having this setup with my stock inter cooler and turbo?
when my vibrating issue is solved I get a bigger turbo from Chris Carrol...

You mean you get full boost at 5000 rpm? That is not normal! I do not know what turbo you have but full boost should be around 3500 rpm or earlier.

That's a 3LDZ, at this point it's hard to tell because my boost gauge doesn't work.
I feel boost coming in at +- 4000 rpm but it feels like a huge punch at 5000 RPM.
The car then pulls pretty good. I thought because the new cams letting more air true the valves causing turbo getting out of breath? or is there another issue?
What's you opinion?

Wonder if you're pig rich pre-5k RPM? It leans then picks up big power?

I'm full boost at around 3,500 also.

What cam timing did you adjusted? 1.26mm would be a good point to start. Stock timing does not work with this cams for sure.

Ignition timing is another factor with big influence. Do a search for both here, a lot of threads concerning both

+1
Important to have correct cam timing.
