intercooler question for 930

I am trying to get intercooler interchange problem figured out on my 930. I know a C2 intercooler will fit a early 930... BUT can all the C2 piping and turbo hose connections fit to, if all purchased new from our host ? There are some very expensive pieces to buy so don't want to buy if there is no return on them. Thanks for any and all info..

Thanks Kozmo

I'm not sure if you are a joke poster but wtf with that cars paint job?

Kozmo930 11-06-2013 06:43 PM

no joke... it is a angry birds star wars body wrap

rsrfan 11-06-2013 07:19 PM

Kozmo, call me tomorrow and I'll walk you through what you need. The parts needed for the install were included in the smaller box tucked in with the 965 shroud...

LOL how can you say that with a straight face?

Noah930 11-06-2013 08:38 PM

OK, I'll bite: Perhaps the answer is the blatantly obvious, but what inspired you to do a Star Wars Angry Birds bodywrap?

Thanks , I will give you a call tomorrow . Darren at Pelican was working with me to get all of the late stuff to fit it in ,but we both had questions. Really thought we could get some info here but I guess we have a lot of pranksters :p

I think it's cool to put yourself out there for kids.
I once had a Barbie paint job on a truck for my girls.

I hated that truck after awhile........so I repainted it.

Nah man, its not bashing. I think any reasonable person would wonder why a starwars angry birds wrap exists. If you are gonna have that on your car, ya gotta have a thicker skin than most people.

Oh, and you should also be prepared for the funny looks.

... I would love to have a Snoopy body wrap!

At least I have a Snoopy on the dashboard of my daily driver (Fiat 500):)

BTW I have seen much uglier cars here. Pls show us more detailed pics of that Starwars angry bird thing

Back on topic:

The parts 16 and 17 wont fit for two reasons. The sheet metal surrounding is different, Turbo location too and the pipe will not fit due the mounting corner of chassis (engine mount).

But there is no need to use all 965 parts. You'll need the rubber elbow with BOV connection, a short tube to fill the gap where stock BOV alloy housing was and a tappered rubber piece. Looking like this at the end:

Awesome? Can you post up a bigger picture please?

:)

Again with the rudeness!

Polite way to ask: What kind of paintjob is that or bladida.
Rude way: I'm not sure if you are a joke poster but wtf with that cars paint job?

If you can`t help out or have anything nice to say, why bother? Then again i assume some guys do tell people that they have a terrible haircut and that someones tattoo is super ugly. Or maby just tell someone else that they are not attractive. I guess politeness is out the window even in a Porsche support forum.... sad really

intercooler

Thanks guys for all the good words, just because it is a Porsche can't we have some fun with it to ? I drive the hell out of mine so build it to take it, RIGHT ?

Profighter ... I have been watching your living room for awhile, way cool ! I have a garage ...LOL. Thanks for the info, Darren and I have been sorting it out with the last parts purchace. With your pic's I can find what I need.

By the way guys may be changing the art work on the car for "Star Wars 2"
If anyone was at Sebring this year they would have seen it there on track and around pits driving . Big hit with all that was there , and yes I get the comments all the time good and bad but most who see the car in person like it . http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1383844233.jpg
