75 - 77 Turbo Carrera rear wing
Is this a factory wing from a 75-77 Turbo? Trying to determine exactly what it is.

Looks like it, esp. with the ac condenser and ductwork. Aftermarket ones will have a solid piece there and not the removable panel.

Also check the edges for cracking and separation.. the wing is fiberglass bonded to metal lid.

Weren't there two iterations of the early turbo tail from Porsche? This one appears to be the real deal of the '77 era. I thought the early, early turbo tail had a smaller secondary grill.

Yes, appears to be oem wing from an original 930 ('75-77 3.0L non intercooled). If I'm seeing it correctly it came off a car with the rear wiper option from the factory, I believe the silver boxy thing is the motor and then the linkage arm there. My 77 930 has the factory wiper just like that.

ROW 3-liter Turbos with non-optioned A/C had the smaller secondary grill. The U.S. 3-liter Turbos were all equipped with A/C and had the larger grill. I've yet to see a U.S. 3-liter Turbo with factory A/C delete.

I thought even ROW had factory air? Mine does and long ago I was told they all did.

In '75 you could get a Turbo without....
I have both a small second opening tail and one the same as above.

Depends on the country. ROW '75-79 British 930's were fitted with A/C whereas it was an option for other countries (Italy, Germany, France, etc.). U.S. 930's, '76-79 and '86-89 always had A/C and I have yet to see a factory "A/C delete". The common misnomer is "sunroof delete" as this was an option for all ROW/U.S. '75-89 930's with the exception of '75-79 British 930's were it was standard along with right-hand drive and A/C.

For sure , For every 75-77 turbo built there is a original tail out there if not on the car. Probably more tails than cars due to bad accidents and rust. They will surface some day.

I think I have one BUT with the small grill for AC delete. It was on a 3.0 Carrera targa I used to have. When I sold the car The buyer wanted no tail on a Targa.
I,m looking it over for a part number. Has a rubber lip in good condition and is course weave fiberglass over a steel frame. Both grills in good condition.
