Flywheel 1986 911 Carerra

Hello Folks, I am in the process of sourcing a flywheel to replace a unit on my 1986 911 which lost its flywheel threaded pin. (sensor reference) . Pelican parts has
930-102-033-01-M260, which says to match the car, but I am hesitating because of a review that states the sensor pin on this unit is non metallic. I know that they sell a replacement threaded pin, but I do not want to go through the process of replacement. I sourced a unit in Texas and their tecs said that their pim do not conduct a magnet either. I am in the Cayman Islands, and shipment is not cheap or quick. So I need to do this right the first time.

I have heard many stories of people installing their flywheel only to find that the pin was not magnetic. (Stainless steel).

Can anyone agree purchasing this flywheel: 930-102-033-01-M260 and being able to use it successfully without replacing the threaded pin.

Your help would be most appreciated:

No advice so far, I have sourced the flywheel from three different vendors and they all say that the flywheel do not have the threaded pin, I have decided to purchase a flywheel and buy a threaded pin that is known to attract a magnet from Pelican parts and try this install again. It is said that head of the pin should be 0.08 mm from the reference sensor, same stand-off as the speed sensor.. My shopping cart is telling me that our host no longer has the flywheel in stock. I did not want to go about heating and extracting that pin.. Will do a top end, replacing valve guides, and oil seals etc, will take heads to machine shop.. Another year to go in my schedule to bring this 911 back to life.

Passing on what I learned from gleaming many posts; if you have to remove the threaded pin on the flywheel, you need to heat the area up to about 200 degrees in order to degrade the thread lock used by the factory to keep it locked in place.
